Well done! The prep is over, you’ve answered all of the difficult questions. Now you can start the really exciting bit, actually doing it :-)

A sound easy doesn’t it? Although, let me ask you something. There are 5 frogs sitting on a log & 1 decides to jump off. How many are left? Guess what…the answer is still 5! I bet your saying ’noooooo, 5 minus 1 = 4 dum dum’. Now let me reiterate, 1 only decided to jump off, I never said he actually physically jumped. Just by deciding to do something doesn’t automatically mean that the physical act of doing it has to follow.

How many times have you decided to lose weight, decided to exercise more, decided to listen more, work harder, give up smoking…etc…etc…& never followed through with it right to the end? If you had, you wouldn’t be reading this & thinking about your goal…again! Would you?

 

You don’t get your goals just by sitting on the couch & wanting them really hard, you must earn them. The law of the universe says that before you can get what you want, you have to pay the price; & you must pay it in full & pay all of it in advance. Only then will you get what you want. Fall short & you won’t receive a nickel. The good news though, is when you do pay in full & in advance, you are GURANTEED to receive your prize.

So what is that price? At the end of the day you will EVENTUALLY need to do something that feels uncomfortable, something you don’t want to do, something that doesn’t feel good at the time. Please remember thought, that that feeling is only temporary & the positive reward will be much higher, much longer lasting & worth so much more than the negative temporary initial feeling right now.

Remember why you’re doing it & understand that it’s worth the effort.

So all of the prep work is done & can be put in the past. You now have to get all of this out of your head & physically do something every day from your plan in the present. However more importantly, you must see having yourself already done the things on your list & having achieved the goal. The unfinished actions from your list may not have happened yet, however you need to bring them from the future & put them into the present moment imagining you have done them. Actually see yourself having completed the task & feel what that sense of achievement really feels like. Such an important point I’m going to repeat it yet again ‘see yourself having completed the task & feel what that sense of achievement really feels like’. When you visualize yourself doing something & immerse yourself in the positive feelings, it makes the time when you actually do it seem like a foregone conclusion & there is no resistance to it at all. After all, you’ve seen it being completed already & know that it’s happened.

You must say to yourself in the past tense “I have done x,y,z from my list. I have achieved x,y,z & this feels amazing!” The stronger you can create the feeling of achievement, the stronger the drive to make it happen. On a subconscious level.

Congratulations! Now that you’ve worked out what will make you happy in life, you know how to get there & your on your way. You’re no longer floating aimlessly, hoping that happiness will fall in your lap, you are taking control of your life & making it exactly what you want!

However, make sure you don’t stop there. This process isn’t just for Strength & Fitness training. You can use this for all areas of your life; spiritual, social, family, financial, anything… Your answers will be different, however the process remains the same. Repeat it for all areas of your life & learn as you go. You may set a goal too high one time & too low the next. You may not reach one goal exactly on the deadline you set, you may blitz the next one in record time. Every time you go though the process though you’ll improve, everytime you’ll become more confident & be able to set bigger & better goals.

Don’t let life just happen to you, make it happen for you!!!
